Ek baat kahoon agar sunti ho
tum mujh ko achhi lagti ho….

One of Hitler’s Paintings

Hitler failed twice to gain admission to a fine-arts school as a young man, but made a meagre living selling postcards and advertisements. He is estimated to have created more than 2,000 drawings and paintings.

If only Adolf Hitler’s people were not ignorant fools, Hitler would have gone to study Art as he wanted in the Art Academy. But he was rejected. And as you know rejection leads to dejection and dejection leads to frustration and frustration leads to desperation and desperation leads to damnation. Hitler joined the Army out of frustration and desperation and his desperation led to his damnation of the Jews who bluffed and rebuffed him as he struggled to become an Artist.

Then the devil found him and he was raped by a gay officer and the devil uses homosexuality to convert the ignorant to Satanism and Hitler’s fate was sealed and the rest you all know that his damnation was World War 2 and The Holocaust.

If only I knew Adolf Hitler before he joined the Army, he would have been saved and there would have been no World War 2 and no Holocaust and over 20 million lives perished in that catastrophe would have been saved.

Beware how you bluff and rebuff the poor and needy among us lest you provoke them to hate you and the rest of us as Osama bin Laden and his hordes of lunatic fringe elements who have sworn to hate and destroy those who bluffed and rebuffed them and careless about the innocent ones among them are now threatening to destroy the rest of us.

Hitler’s watercolours are as good as the so called paintings of Van Gogh.

If only his parents were rich, Hitler would have been sent to other Art Schools where he would have been given Admission and he would have improved and gone ahead to become a great artist and not the most hated misanthrope in human history.

How can I tell you what I feel for you?

September 14th, 2006

How can I tell you what I feel for you?
When I think of you my feelings twist inside
As if someone’s fist reached in and grabbed a few,
And turned and turned them tight and tangled. I’ve tried
Somehow to say: You’re the sun in my sky,
The wind that takes me where I want to go,
The sweet incense that makes me feel so high
That loving you seems all I need to know.
But it all sticks in my throat! It sounds too cute,
Empty as a wrinkled paper bag.
You won’t believe it! Better I stay mute
Than offer you cliches that make you gag.
And yet I wish to tell you of my love,
If only love its own locks would remove!

Why iitians & iim peple go to USA to do buisness

September 13th, 2006

I found this information in “SWAMINOMICS” column of Times of india.

The World Bank has released its annual “Doing business in 2006″ report. Here are some of the observations about India:

* In the rankings of how easy it is to do business in a paricular country, India, though making big gains on collateral recovery and ease of registering property, ranks 116 - 25 places behind China. (pp 9)
* India ranks among the countries where it is most difficult to fire people. Others in this list include Angola, Cameroon, Togo, Tunisia, etc. (pp 29)
* The Indian state of Maharashtra halved the stamp duty from 10% of the property value to 5%. Pakistan reduced its duty from 3% to 2%. (pp 35)
* The reduction in stamp duty in Maharashtra resulted in a 20% increase in stamp duty collections as evasion reduced (pp 36)
* India was the top reformer in the area of credit and sharing of credit histories, by establishing a new consumer credit bureau and implementing a much faster proceeding for enforcing collateral agreements. The time to enforce security/collateral agreements fell from 10 years to 6 months because of a new summary proceeding requiring minimal court involvement. India still prohibits the sharing of credit histories with non-financial organizations, though. (pp 39 and 40)
* A study in India indicates that tax reform would increase productivity by 60%. (pp 57)
* India still lags sorely in terms of bankruptcy reform. It ranks amongst the worst performers in terms of the number of years it takes for bankruptcy proceedings to close - 10! (pp 75)
* Starting a business in India, on average required: (pp135)
o 11 procedures
o 71 days
o 61.7% of per capita income is average cost
o 0% of per capita is minimum capital required
* Dealing with licenses in India, on average required:
o 20 procedures
o 270 days
o 678.5% of per capita income is cost
* In terms of hiring and firing workers:
o 90 on 100 is difficult of firing
o 79 weeks of salary is cost of firing
* In terms of taxes:
o Taxes have to be paid 59 times in a year
o 264 hours are spent per year on paying taxes
o Total tax payable is 43.2% of gross profit

So broadly speaking, reforms occured in credit and duties on property transactions, but are sorely lacking in bankruptcy laws and the job market. The government expectedly refuted the findings as ‘presenting too bleak a picture based on limited inputs’. In this case, I am actually tempted to agree with the government. From personal experience, the regulations were never really a hassle in starting my company, and with the right accountant and company secretary working for us, the entire process is more or less pretty painless.

Still MNC’s are lined up to invest in india .Why?

Stress management

September 12th, 2006

A lecturer, when explaining stress management to an audience, raised a glass of water and asked,

“How heavy is this glass of water?”

Answers called out ranged from 20g to 500g.

The lecturer replied, “The absolute weight doesn’t matter.

It depends on how long you try to hold it.

If I hold it for a minute, that’s not a problem.

If I hold it for an hour, I’ll have an ache in my right arm.

If I hold it for a day, you’ll have to call an ambulance.

In each case, it’s the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes.”

He continued,

And that’s the way it is with stress management. If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later, as the burden becomes increasingly heavy, we won’t be able to carry them.

When we’re refreshed, we can carry on with the burden. So, before you go home from work, put the burden of work down. Don’t carry it home.
You can pick it up tomorrow.

Take a break from the weight of your burdens. You can always pick it back up when your refreshed. If your faith is in God, let Him strengthen and refresh you - just let Go and Let God!

*************************

Here are some great ways of dealing with the burdens of life:
* Accept that some days you’re the pigeon, and some days you’re the statue

* Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them

* Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it.

* Drive carefully. It’s not only cars that can be recalled by their maker.

* If you can’t be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.

* If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

* It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

* Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time, because then you won’t have a leg to stand on.

* Nobody cares if you can’t dance well. Just get up and dance.

* Since it’s the early worm that gets eaten by the bird, sleep late.

* The second mouse gets the cheese.

* When everything’s coming your way, you’re in the wrong lane.

* Birthdays are good for you. The more you have, the longer you live.

* Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.

* We could learn a lot from crayons…
Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names, and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box.

*A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.

Have an awesome day and know that someone has thought about you today… :)

Rec’d by email, with slight edits to share … I especially like this one:

* Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them.

It is the one, I could use the most! ;)

Marriage Partners Statistics by Month

September 11th, 2006

In my daily browsing activities I’ve found an interesting statistics: Choice of Marriage Partners and Month of Birth
It is a study conducted by two professor they went to the marriage registry office in Amsterdam and took a random sample of nearly 3500 marriages from the files. These files contained the birth dates of the partners and also noted when a marriage had ended in divorce.

Here are the “tendencies” found by Kop and Heuts:

Females born in January -Most preferred male born in March -Least preferred born in April

Males born in January -Most preferred female born in October -Least preferred born in July

Females born in February -Most preferred male born in April -Least preferred July

Males born in February -Most preferred female born in October -Least preferred March

Females born in March-Most preferred male born in May -Least preferred August

Males born in March -Most preferred female born in January -Least preferred July

Females born in April- Most preferred male born in June -Least preferred November

Males born in April -Most preferred female born in February -Least preferred January

Females born in May -Most preferred male born in December -Least preferred June

Males born in May- Most preferred female born in June -Least preferred December

Females born in June -Most preferred male born in November -Least preferred October

Males born in June -Most preferred female born in April -Least preferred October

Females born in July - Most preferred male born in June - Least preferred March

Males born in July - Most preferred female born in April - Least preferred February

Females born in August - Most preferred male born in August -Least preferred September

Males born in August - Most preferred female born in July -Least preferred November

Females born in September -Most preferred male born in September -Least preferred April

Males born in September - Most preferred female born in September -Least preferred April

Females born in October -Most preferred male born in January -Least preferred June

Males born in October -Most preferred female born in January -Least preferred June

Females born in November -Most preferred male born in November -Least preferred August

Males born in November -Most preferred female born in June -Least preferred April

Females born in December -Most preferred male born in August -Least preferred May

Males born in December -Most preferred female born in May -Least preferred July

The scientiest who made the statistics were not interested in astrology so they analyzed the data based on the month of the birth. I know it’s not relevant statistics from astrological point of view (you may say that they took in consideration only the SUN placement) but I thought that is an interesting information.

Selling Yourself

September 10th, 2006

How marketable are you? If you decide to leave your present job, for whatever reason, are you sure of getting another , comparable or perhaps better job at the end of your notice time? If answer is an unequivocal “NO” then your marketability index is less than one and alarm bells should start to ring!

The MI , your marketability index tells you how you are perceived in the market.

Professional Productivity :The only way to improve your MI is to jack up the productivity angle. This can only be done on the job. Most of us already spend ove 12 hours at work , quite possibly what we can, quite easily do in less than half the time!

Spending more time on the job is patholgically pointless since it is unproductive, non compos mentis and does not achive the desired objective anyway! As Andy Grove ,former Chairmain of Intel Corp puts it !
“The more direct way of increasing productivity is doing the same thing in less time -turning thing around faster”

The actual answer lies in changing the way we make decisions;
1> Use contemporary ideas and practices. Ask the best way of doing things rather than do it the way you have always been doing them.

2>Have a mind open enough to admit new knowledge ,don’t waste time to reinventing the wheel of someone elses’s making just because its not your own way.Past experience is good ,but should not be sacrosanct.

3>Unlearn what you know from your past and relearn new skills and and competencies.

The three dimensions of professional productivity:
1>The first step in productivity enhancement is to recognise all the three dimensions of productivity - thechnology, networking and knowledge, then work on enhancing our abilities it in each of these areas. This can be done by :

>>Connecting knowledge to work -learning thr best practices and latest management principles.
>>Leveraging the power of peer networks - learnihng form other peoples’ experience(OPE) and avoid reinventing the wheel
>>Put CID(communication,Internet,Desktop) to work for you- automate your routine work for you have time for the bigger issues. The future belongs to those who invest in themselves.
